ARTsmart Annual Dinner & Auction:
“You Will Be Served”
ARTsmart will celebrate once again in the Eldorado Hotel & Spa grand ballroom and this time we want you to know that “You Will Be Served” as you celebrate with us. Is it possible to outdo ourselves? You bet! This year’s gala promises fabulous fare, served at your table, tons of fun, and a bevy of live and silent auction items found nowhere else … all accompanied by the New Mexico School for the Arts String Ensemble.
SAVE SATURDAY NIGHT, FEBRUARY 25th, 2017 at 5:30pm to participate in the arts of gastronomy and giving! Proceeds from tickets and auction items support ARTsmart New Mexico’s innovative art programs for the youth of Northern New Mexico.
ONE-OF-A-KIND. The silent auction offers a captivating collection of renowned “I Made It!” plates made by Santa Fe Public School fifth-graders. But there’s more! This year students also made vases and a 12-piece plate set and worked with our Honorary Artist to create original paintings.
ON THE MENU. Fine wines selected by Santa Fe sommelier Kate Collins accompany a feast prepared by Santa Fe’s most celebrated chefs:
Chef Fernando Ruiz from Santacafe will craft hors d’oeuvres.
Chef Laura Licona from 401 Fine Neighborhood Dining will create the first course.
Chef Jean Pierre Vincent from Eldorado Hotel’s award-winning restaurant the Old House will create the entrees: You’ll have a hard time choosing between:
Pan Roasted Sea Bass with Vodka Tomato Cream and Creamy Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes with Sautéed Green Beans, or
Grilled Tri-Tip Roast with Tequila Marinade Cherry Tomato Relish and Creamy Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes with Sautéed Green Beans, or
Forest Mushroom & Grilled Zucchini Lasagna with Asparagus Sauce and Blistered Baby Tomatoes
Santa Fe High School Culinary Arts Students are back by popular demand with instructor Myoko Costello and will be presenting delectable desserts.

Our 2017 Honorary Artist, Melinda K Hall, worked with Santa Fe High School students to create folk art paintings that will be for sale the night of the dinner. Hall has donated three of her paintings for the live auction, and you can see more of her work at Giacobbe Fritz Fine Art on Canyon Road.
Our 2017 Honorary Chair, Anne Hillerman, will be present at the dinner and will offer 2 amazing auction items: an iPad Mini loaded with some of her and Tony Hillerman’s books and she will also be your guest at a gourmet wine dinner for 10 catered by Adobo Catering held in your home and even name a character in an upcoming novel after you!
